Sideline Budget

About Sideline Budget

Sideline Budget helps families see what a youth sports season really costs before they sign up, not after the fifth tournament weekend.

Why it exists

I'm Michael, a sports parent in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a child in competitive soccer. Every season the registration fee turned out to be the smallest part of the bill. Uniforms, tournament entry, hotels, gas, team dinners and "optional" training added up fast, and nobody published the full number.

So I built the calculator I wanted: put in your sport, level and travel, and see the whole season, month by month.

What you'll find here

Where the numbers come from

Our guides use published club and league fee pages, tournament and hotel rates, and what parents report paying. Costs vary a lot by region and club, so we show ranges and update the guides each season. The guides are researched with the help of AI tools and checked by a sports parent before they go up.

Independent

Sideline Budget isn't connected to any club, league or brand, and we never take payment to recommend anything. At launch the site runs no ads and is supported by optional budget templates.
